HEARTBREAKING: This Bay Is Too Young To Be Going Through All These-Sad Photos Drops.

People who don’t get enough food may not grow as quickly as they should. This can cause a condition called “failure to thrive.” Poor feeding is caused by a lot of different things. It’s not like picky eating, where a baby doesn’t like one kind of milk or a toddler doesn’t like some foods. It’s not like that. Think about what would happen if there was no food at all.

You can find this little baby in Mdantsane. He or she is going through a lot of things. Because of a woman named Kwezi, most people cried all day. She is shown above. Her neighbor washes disposable nappies so that she can use them again and again. Kwezi is her friend. Her next door neighbor is unemployed and can’t afford to buy food for her new baby. As a result, her newborn daughter drinks only sugar water because there is nothing else she can eat. Kwezi’s neighbor tried to get a grant, but it won’t start until July.

For some new moms, breastfeeding isn’t possible or even good for them. Breastfeeding or bottle-feeding a baby usually comes down to the mother’s level of comfort with breastfeeding and how much time she has to feed her child. In some cases, breastfeeding may not be the best thing for a mom and her child.

The first few weeks of your baby’s life, he or she will nurse about 8 to 12 times a day. In the beginning, mothers may want to try nursing their babies for 10–15 minutes on each breast, then adjust the time as they go along.

Every 1-3 hours, you should breastfeed your baby when he or she is hungry, which is about right. As babies get older, they will nurse less often and go longer between feedings. They will likely drink about 2-3 ounces of formula every two to four hours for newborn babies who are getting it from a bottle. If a newborn doesn’t eat for about 4–5 hours, he or she should be fed.

If your baby isn’t eating and it’s becoming a habit, he may need more help from you or someone else. If the baby is losing or not gaining weight, looks dehydrated, or is going back to the bottle and not wanting to eat food again, it’s time to go to the doctor.

Signs that babies are hungry:

• They move their heads from side to side.

• They opened their mouths.

sticking their tongues out • Putting their hands and fists to their mouths •

Making their lips pucker as if they were going to suck.

• Putting their chins against their mothers’ breasts.
